AVL DiTEST has supplied Daimler with more than 10.000 measurement modules under the designation HMS 990 USB so far. Now the classic measurement technique HMS 990 is also being used with the new diagnostic station Star Diagnosis Compact 3, and is fully equipped with USB link and adapted to Windows XP.

The HMS 990 will be used beyond the regular scope tasks for specific engine testing operations. Important testing functions were developed together with Daimler in order to optimize diagnostics on electronic vehicle systems and components. It has numerous pictures to refer to as well as a diagnostic manual can be used as a support for the mechanic for effective diagnostics and troubleshooting.
